Review: The Highwaymen Sucks. End Message.

Woody Harrelson & Kevin Costner in The Highwaymen. Image courtesy of Netflix.

Conclusive proof that John Lee Hancock is a terrible director. Movie has good intentions, but is so clumsily plotted and written: instead of just, you know, showing us that Kevin Kostner is a living legend now past his prime seeking to redeem himself, is has a scene where he has local kids throw bottles in the air, shoots them and misses, declares baldly to the camera: “I am old now” and then one of the kids runs up and asks him with all the dead-eyed emotion of a war massacre survivor, if he really is the legendary Texas Ranger Hamer.

Seriously, this movie is garbage. If Netflix keeps turning out trash like this, they are going to lose another 2 million subscribers every quarter until eventually they are forced to pay us to commit the sin against nature that is watching dreck like this
